soft top and tail light conversion from 2000 to 2002

Hello everyone, I am a new owner of an 2000 S2000. As all of you know that it came with a plastic rear window and I want to convert it to the 2002 glass window. I called a honda dealer in my area and the parts advisor said that they're different parts and the 2002 glass top will not fit on to my car. If anyone can offer experience/knowledge on this matter it will be greatly appreciated.
I also wanted to change my tail lights to 2002 with chrome rings. The dealer said the same thing so please let me know if they fit or not.

Thanks

Dealer, as usual, doesn't know what they're talking about. (No surprise there).

Chrome ring tails are a direct swap. No modification needed. The AP2 tails can also be made to fit, but require dremeling some sheet metal.

Two choices to go glass window:
1. You can buy the entire MY02-03 top WITH the metal frame and then it is a direct fit. These occasionally come up for sale when someone converts to 100% hardtop and basically wants to get rid of the top. The motor is sometimes even included.

2. You can just buy the nylon part but this will require some drilling of the frame (just a couple of small holes) and some riveting.

I did number 2. Ordered the top from www.hardtopguy.com and followed the directions here:

and check this thread too:

Took me a whole weekend to do it, working slowly and carefully. If you want to wire up the defroster, it might add a few hours. Looks perfect. No more plastic window

Yep....My S2000 is 2000 year as well and i want to change the soft top with plastic rear window to a 2002 soft top with glass window!
I was called up Honda in my place and the stuff in parts department said the glass soft top doesn't fit the 00 model S2000 ,The reason was 99-00 model the way when they open and pucker the glass window will break the glass!! Honda have just improved this problem when they started to make 02 S2000...
Thats what they tell me ! Actually i want to change an soft top Glass window too,but i was afraid this happen will come to me
