what's a fair price to pay for a 2000' S2000, under 30k mi?

i'd like to buy my first S2000 from a private seller, but don't know what a good bargain goes for, and i don't want to just rely on KBB or edmunds TMV.

I just paid an Acura dealership $22k for an '02 with 15,000 miles. That's below the book value, but it's a slow season for roadster sales, being Winter and all...

Well this falls into the whole "used car dealer negotiations recommendations topic" which can be smooth or ugly based on whether the seller is willing to be flexible during the negotiations process.

I bought me '02 for 24 and it had about 24,000 miles on it. PERFECT condition, also. That being said, I also purchased an '01 with 60K mi on it for just under 16, believe it or not (this guy was able to sell at wholesale prices because he bought cars at auction and sold them on the side, recreationally)

Short answer: High teens if you play hard ball........Go for 19 with check in hand. Seller's disposition may be that he will take the money and run when he knows you're for real.
