S2000 hood material?

Some lowlife has slashed my convertible hood on my s2000, I'm able to obtain a replacement hood in either mohair or vinyl, what's the difference and what material is the original hood?

Thanks

Rich

Aaay Rich;
Really sorry to hear about your vandalism. If I remember correctly, what you call a hood we call a top and our hoods are your bonnets? Did I somehow get that right?
Given the options, I'd go with the vinyl top, er . . hood.
Mohair??? Really? Cool!
Just a thought, but if you've been done dirty once, you might want to expect another visit if the opportunity presents itself. Just to be on the safe side you might want to keep a real close eye on it with the new top, . . whatever.
Be well and good luck.

Thanks for the reply mate, yes you're correct I'm referring to the hood, I'll go with the vinyl then, thats what I was thinking of doing anyway.

Thanks for the tip about keeping an eye on the new one, I might invest in a hard top, don't get much chance to put the top down anyway with the weather over here.

'Hard . . now is that a hardtop r' a hardhood? Whatever, it pretty well solves the slashing problem.
Most raggtopp slashings that aren't done to steal something from the interior, aren't random. That's why I suggested the careful eye when the new top is installed. You might just have an "admirer" who's just waiting for the chance to do it to you again. 'Hope I'm wrong, but it doesn't hurt to be extra vigilant, right?
Be well.
