Convertible Top Squeaking

I have a problem with the convertible top squeaking and creaking at low speeds (15-30 miles per hour). I was wondering if anyone has this problem? I notified the dealer and they have never had any problems but they are going to take a look at it anyway.

If it's squeeking along the seam, you might try to treat the rubber as the MOM suggests. Hope it's not a mechanical squeek - having never owned a convertible before, the prospect of such things makes me nervous.

Good Luck,
-Bob

hey, I have the same thing happening but not all the time,

I can't find the where its coming from but Ive never had any problems with the top working or leaking (knock on wood)

I have a 2000 Formula Red S2K I rescued her from bad home and thought that the top was going to be the first thing I needed to replace.

she may squeak alittle but thats about it These cars are thought out and built really well one of the finest street cars around I love this car

I had a little squeek in mine too but found when I move the passenger seat forward the squeek went away. It was the seat rubbing against something behind it afterall.
