Practicality
Hi All,
Looking for some advice, currently I have a Alfa GTV TS which I love but which is just not quick enough. Whilst its not the most practical of things its comfortable over long distances and I can fit golf clubs in the boot. I am considering a S2000, I would like to know if the boot will fit golf clubs (yes I know its boring) if so anything else at same time, overnight bag etc? Is the S2000 a comfortable motorway cruiser as I do 20K a year and what sort of mpg do you get from that engine. Never had a cab before, whats the wind noise like. Finally what is best model to go for and are there common probs I should look out for, coming from an Alfa I cant imagine theres as many. I've got c ?15K would this get anything decent? I know its long but your help would be appreciated. Cheers |

I don't play golf but I hear you can fit a bag full of clubs, but you may have to take out the long drivers. I'm not sure how big the overnight bag you are tlaking about is.
Comfortable motorway cruiser is a subjective thing - I suggest you take a test drive of a car and decide from there. Generally there are no "bad" models. Slight changes have been made over the years. Models pre01 had a platic rear window. 01 onwards have glass rear window with defroster. Most other changes have generally been appearance/accessory mods such as chrome rings around tail-lights/headlights, change of colours, speakers etc. Since you are talking money in pounds, I'm guessing you are in the UK. There may be some other issues you may like the consider such as driving in wet weather or snow. You could try the UK forums on www.s2ki.com for some local advice and check out the "for sale" forums there. |

Thanks for that, it was only after I'd posted that I realised this was not a UK forum.

Golf Bag
Hi,
I play golf and yes if you do not have some of the very bulky bags this works. So for travel if you have a airline approved roll-on bag this will fit exactly in the indentation in the S2000. I have a nice hardshell Samsonite and it fits like it was made for it. Having the golf bag onto will just fit, but keep in mind there will not be a lot of room left. One of the guys posting before was right if you have clubs that are very long you have to get them out of the bag. Ciao, Franz |
