just joined up have a ?

I like to say hi to everyone! My question is I have a red 2000 S2000 (I love this car ) and I just had it serviced and my mat.req. light still will no go off even after being reset whats the deal? thanks for any help

If it has been reset and will not go out, take it to the dealership so they can have a look. I have never heard of it not going out if it has been reset properly.

maybe Im not doing the reset right ignition in locked position and hold down the trip button right??

As it is written in my Insight manual (my S is covered and I am too lazy to take the cover off to get the manual out):

1. Turn off the engine.

2. Press and hold the trip button in the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch ON

3. Hold the button until the indicator resets (approx. ten seconds.)


I always turn the ignition back off after and then start the car. The light should come on (like it always does) for a second or two and then go out. If it flashes on and off again, something is wrong. If it goes out and stays out, TAADAA-- DONE!!
