Consuming Oil

I have a 2002 S2000 with 40k miles I bought a few months ago. The S2000 consumes 1 Qt every 600 miles, is this normal? The dealer said the engine is "loose", so consuming oil is normal - agree?

While our car does consume some oil,I think that is a little excessive. Seems like the original owner didn't follow the break in period instructions very well.

if u r using sythetic try to use mineral for a while then switch back, and if u r using mineral try to use synthetic , the oil comsumption may change. and make sure u use 10w-30 oil only.

"Whatever you do, where ever you go, enjoy the drive." I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!! After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.
