Hey everyone i just joined this site because i saw a beautiful black 01 s2000 for sale and now i have some questions....first off how fast are the cars to begin with like quarter mile time zero to sixty and so on secondly what should i be aware of when buying and trying to maintain my s2000 third moding it should i do performance first or body im on a budget here and cant do to much at a time

Make sure the maintanence has been done- as with any used car. CarFax might be a good idea. Make sure the spring spacers have been removed.

Depends on what you want from the car. Do you want people to look at the car for the viual effect or for the performance side. Personally, I have done just a few small external mods to set me apart from a stock S and spent more money (the wife would say A LOT of money) under the hood and body. I am not the fastest S and never plan to be, but I do like to have fun at the track and have people ask what did I do to it to make me an E MOD car.

thanks for the input guys once i get my car ill get into more detail about what i want to do and see where the good deals are. I found a nice 2001 s2k with 25k miles bright yellow in great condition i have not really talked to the owner yet i was driving by it late tonight and saw it so i stopped and looked but hes asking 20500 for it is that high? or good?

Seems o.k. with that low amount of miles. Could off less and see if he/she takes it. One issue with the 01 is the plastic rear window. Some people don't like that about the 00-01's.

yeah i did notice that about the car it looked kinda foggy but i dunno i dont mind i looked on blue book it said it was worth 18.5k so i might see if i cant get it for like 17 because of the window

"Whatever you do, where ever you go, enjoy the drive." I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!! After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.
