Problem With my S

Hello

I am from Greece and i have a Honda S2000 2001 model with 16" wheels tyres.
I purchased the car with a vibration when accelerating.
The previous owner said it did not always exist.

It vibrates only when doing more than 40 miles per hour and only when accelerating.
It vibrates more when you have 2 people in the car, so when there is more load on the car.

CAN YOU PLEASE ADVISE ME WHAT TO DO...

Thanks in Advance.

Asking the obvious: you checked wheels/tires for balance and drive shaft for bad universals?

I have the same problem.
1999 model s2000. 19inch wheels with low profiles and lowered.
I have had the diff checked, tail shalf, wheels balanced and aligned.

I have found the solution BUT not the cause of the problem. I've had the driveshafts reco'd twice and this seems to fix the problem temporarily. my mechanic said it was the cv joint bearing closer to the diff which keeps getting worn out. Im due for another reco now. it keeps happening every 4 or so months. Mechanic seems to think its because it has been lowered and it's the angle which the driveshafts are on.
I dont believe this as i have friends with similar setup, big wheels, lowered car.
I've taken it to honda, and they had not seen this problem before.
I am fuzzled on what to do. I guess i could leave it at honda until they fixed it but i could be up for thousands as they cannot quote me on the direct fault. it's really just swap and try. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
The vibration exists currently in 5th & 6th gear is worse especially on the freeway at like 100km/ph.

Sil, jus' how much is it lowered? The guys with mild lowerin' on the site haven't mentioned any similar problems before.
Changin' the geometry of the car makes for alodda things gettin' used differently than they (the designers) intended. Mild change is usually tolerated (keep in mind I'm talkin' in general here, okay? I ain't lowered anythin' in years) but when you get to a point that upsets things, it does make for some unique situations n' problems.
Be well n' good luck.

Well it's lowered. It's pretty low but still road worthy. It's at least 10cm from the ground at the lowest point. I'm sure there is alot of other s2000 owners who have lowered their cars to around the same height and are not experiencing this.

If all your spinny stuff's in balance, r' was at least in balance before the lowerin' took place . .
Lex parsimoniae Sil. If you've eliminated all other possibilities . . . it's at least worth investigatin' the lowerin' further.
The addition of extra weight magnifyin' it makes me think that we're talkin' somethin' in the rear.
Wish I could be more help.
Be well.
