lowering...camber?

I am getting ready to lower my 2000 S2000 this weekend. Going with the Tein S-tech springs which I believe lower it 1" I think the S2K's already have negative camber in the rear. Anybody have comments on how bad my camber will be once lowered? Or if a shop will be able to re-allign it close or will I need a camber kit?

yes it will wear out faster than before on one side of the tire, but it is not necessary to get a kit. I mean it is up to u depeding on your budget, but i know many owners didn't bother with it. And yes it is recomended to do a alignment after, but again it is up to u, if u r chaging the tire really soon as well, then u can wait until that time to do it together. (perosnal experience)

1. It's definitely not necessary to get a camber 'kit' because the S2000 already has adjustable camber (remember this isn't a grocery getter, it's a real sports car).

2. If you just put springs with stock shocks, your handling, especially at the limit, will be WORSE than stock. However, if it's just a look you're going after, then it will be fine. If you want to at least keep the stock handling characteristics or maybe improve them in some conditions, a set of coilovers with matched springs/shocks and then corner balance the car.

3. An alignment shop (prefarably one that has done S2000s before) can do the toe/camber on all 4 wheels. Probably not a bad thing to have done if you've never done it and it's a used car.

Get an alignment!!!!!! They may not be able to get it back to stock settings, but they can get it close. I went with the UK settings and they got as close as they could on the rear camber.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.
