s2000 suspension/coil overs/springs

ok guys, im a little bit confused. I want to lower my 02 spa s2k, but I just dont wanna get the springs to get em lowered which will mess up the car. Are coil overs the springs with the shocks? If so, I want it where I can lower it professionaly and have it aligned properly with the smoothest ride ever. please let me know guys. - Mike

Coilovers include a strut (the damping part) and a spring as one unit. This is the way to go if you're going to lower the car and want to maintain good handling characteristics.

There are a lot of brands of coilovers out there. A relatively inexpensive option that some other owners have been happy with are the Megan Racing coilvers. These are obviously knockoffs of some of the more expensive Japanese brands. I'd hit up the LA forums on S2ki.com for connections on where to install 'em.

Ground Control coilovers with adjustable Koni yellows for me. MUCH better than when I just had lowering springs on. Got them for a little over $800 plus $120 to have them installed.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.
