left side sits 1/4" lower than right side...
i thought id just do this to see how precise the car is, I got a measuring tape and measured my s2000 too see how high it sits. i measured from the ground to the tip of the fender and the left side is 1/4" lower than the right on both front and rear wheel. also I took it to a alighnment and after it the car still steers to the right... the right. any ideas? - Mike

Driver sits in the car more than a passenger.
P.S. Lose the tape. Drive the car. |

That is a bit odd.
Tire pressure? Is the ground truly level (no crowning from the road?) Did you buy the car used and if so, any chance that it had been lowered and the stock parts were not reinstalled properly. For example, the pillow mount has a depression to fit the topmost coil of the spring. If the spring isn't installed correctly, it won't 'drop in' to this depression and may give a little more ride height. Brand new car, I'd check to make sure the spring spacers were removed by the dealer (notoriously missed by dealers on the pre sale inspection). |

tire pressure is equal, i baught the car used and I know it had wheels on it and was lowered. would I need to get the struts or springs replaced?
because I also notice a squeeking sound everytime im on rough ground, sounds like almost something is loose, like a bolt. any ideas? |

Hmm, I think a thorough inspection of the suspension is in order.
You can do it yourself, if you feel comfortable with it and have some good hand tools. Check some of the threads in this FAQ for a link on installing springs that should show the steps: http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/index....owtopic=108435 A Helms manual to show you the blow-up diagrams might be in order. If you don't feel comfy taking apart the suspension, then the dealer or a good Honda mechanic would be the next step. Another thought I had was someone dropped lowering springs and cut the bump stops but when they put it back to stock, they didn't buy new bump stops so they're still cut. (Classic ricer move btw). In any event, I'd probably do it sooner rather than later, in case something was really not installed correctly. If it appears that you need new parts (for example, the car rode too long on lowering springs and the shocks are blown), don't let the dealer rape you on a set of new OEM coilovers. You can always find used OEMs on ebay or S2ki.com for sale forums as people sometimes sell these when they go to aftermarket coilovers. Good luck! |

I recently had a tire off of my car and discovered that the dealer had not removed ANY of the spring spacers. Card in owners info said not to drive the car over 12 miles per hour w/ the spacers installed. Any chance there was any damamge? Car has 2,500 miles on it and has definitly been over 12 MPH.

Wac, this ain't the first time I've heard'a somethin' like this. I can't imagine how any reputable dealership can allow a car as ill-prepped as that out it's doors, but I guess I must have a very limited imagination.
I'll defer to any of our more knowledgable n' certainly more current wrenchs that are on the site, but if you drove aroun' for 2500 miles n' weren't suspicious that somethin' was amiss, I'd suspect that the 12 miles per hour limit was a safety warning put in place to lessen chances of accidents n' the ensuin' (rather appropriate word ensuin') liabilities. The only damage that I can figure would be premature bottomin' because of the spacers n' I'm sure that if you'd've been experiencin' that you'd've been under there alot sooner than this, r', at least back to the dealership. I would definitely bring the car back to the dealership with a major amount of attitude for their puttin' you in harms way like that though. First n' foremost, have them make sure that their inability to prep cars has not caused any damage to your Stewie. That done, parlay your upsetment into whatever you can. They risked your life by not doin' the job that you paid them to do. I'd be a mite more'n pissed m'self. Be well. Java

no worries about damage. I do not think it is a safety concern either. If you were really pushing the car very hard or hit a very large bump I could maybe see a problem occuring but with normal driving the spacers shouldnt make a difference.
