I just got an 02 S2K. I love it. This car rips. I can't believe how much power it has. I'm ready to go spank some V8's.

Best of luck with it Rob, but don't put yourself in a position where you could come away red-faced. A little respect for the real V-8s.

I second what Java said. The S is a great car, if driven at 10/10, it will hand it to a few cars with twice the displacement, especially around a tight roadcourse.

However, the design is now bordering on 7 years old and it is starting to fall a little behind. Not far behind, of course, but don't be surprised if the spanking is going to be in the opposite direction with any of the new V8s (Mustang GT, GTO, C6, Hemi equiped DaimlerChrysler etc).

NO man i totoally agree with them. u will come back embarrassed, this car can't really comete with real V8, so don't expect too much, it feels quick when the vtec kicks in but only for a very short of time. Especially on a long straight or Highway racing a v8 is not a smart idea!!

i dunno about v8's man. my best friends pontiac gto 6.0 ripped my s2 a new asshole. like 3, 4 cars ahead on second gear.

but i pwned a Nissan Maxima by like 2 cars on 1st gear. hehe.

im not a racer, its just when i see and hear the car right next to me stay on 1st gear goin 20mph, it means only 1 thing. lol

its hard not to floor it sometimes, and hear that engine go to 9000rpm.
