what to do

im going to be coming across some extra money to dump in to my '01 s2000 but i really cant decide what exactly to do. id like to add some torque to the car, & im going to be purchasing an HKS Hi Power exhaust system & possibly a clutch/flywheel, other than that what suggestions would you have? (the cars engine is currently stock, & ill have around $3,000-$4,000)

If you want torque, the only option would be a positive displacement SC or turbo (in that order). Neither of the two centrifugal SC kits give significant torque gains, and the usual bolt-ons like I/H/E give virtually NO gains of any kind.

Last I heard someone did have a roots type blower in production... search s2ki.com to see where they're at.

Turbo may be tough to pull off for 3-4K.

well other than a supercharger or turbo, what else would you recomend for overall performance? head work?, stroker kit? im sure a clutch upgrade would help the car.

From the sounds of it, I would think that you've got some specific areas of the car that you're dissatisfied with. Those would be the areas that I'd research improvin' n' spend the money in those directions.
If it's jus' a matter of money whut's godda be spent, well . . . give it a few weeks. The price of fuel will dispose of that in short order.
Be well.

For overall performance: #1 bang for buck is good tires. The S02s are about as good at it gets, but if you're running something else, that would be my first move.

#2 would be some track time with an instructor.
