Rear speaker assembly?

I just purchased a 2000 S2000 and I want to install rear speakers behind the seats. I looked at the rear speaker systems from Lucid Automotive(http://www.lucidautomotive.com/radio/) but was wondering if the car was pre-wired for rear speakers or do I have to run the wires from the rear of the car to the radio? And has anyone purchased the rear speaker system from Lucid and how did it turn out (Is it worth the money)?

I installed Lucid's kit with the wiring harness in my 01. You have to run the wires for the rear speakers but it's too much hassle.

The Lucid kit sure make the install easy. The harness makes up for the stock radio not muting the rear speakers buy powering off/on the radio when press the mute button.

I was questioning my spending a little extra money but I think it was well worth it. The sound is great, the install a piece of cake and everything worked as advertised.

Thanks for the input. I'll probably order the Lucid rear speakers around the first of December which will make a nice Chirstmas gift to myself.
By the way which type of speakers did you install?

I just ordered mine a few days ago. I'll tell you more once I received and installed the speakers.

I got the Kenwood Excelon 2-way front and Polk rears. Just wish the stock radio had a little more oomph.

I agree. I had a 00' Prelude until Hurricane Isabel dumped about two and half feet of salt water in my car. But anyways, I replaced it with a 00' S2K and I noticed that the Prelude stock radio seemed to have more punch than the S2K. But I'm wondering if that is attributed to more speakers? I'm hoping that rear speakers will solve the problem especially when driving with the top down. I am also considering replacing the door speakers later down the road.
