Plus, it doesn't really answer the question is the S2000 or Z the better car. Personally, I think that question can only be answered with stock models. |

Are you guys still going on about this. Its an old thread and who knows if that 350Z or what his name is, really did have a 350Z. Maybe its a little kid who comes here and put up some bullsh*t story about him racing an S in his 350Z. Maybe he was talking about Need for speed underground

MORONS WITH "KIAS"
OK, now thats a nice little story you got there buddy. i just got 1 simple little question for you. how many beers and joints did it take you to come up with that kind of BULLSHIT? and also before you talk anymore bullshit why dont you get your dumbass up off the couch get in your "KIA" and drive to the nearest Fred Meyer or Safeway and pick up a copy of ROAD AND TRACK. then what you do is you open that bitch up to almost the last page and read the stats. which would say that your 6-cylinder nissan is almost identical in the 1/4 mile and 0-60 with the 2.0 4-bangger honda s2000. and thats STOCK buddy, let me say that again STOCK!!!!!!! so take you dumbass stories somewhere else OK.

This is true. Maybe this is what ,it was all about.
I will still wait for a reply though. Anyway I will be going to China for the following race. A friend of mine has arrange a race on Thursday between a BMW Z8 and a Porche Carrera. Am leaving tonight, but I will still be on-line occassionally. |

I've smoked every overrated, and tanky 350z on the road with my supercharged 04 S2. I'm pushin' about 360 at the wheels with a lightened frame. So u can Z your way back to the garage.

Surprisingly few chances to pull next to a Z in my area. I used to see 1 or 2 a day on the streets and almost no S2000s. Now I see S2000s (and Boxsters) but haven't seen but maybe 1 Z in a couple of weeks. That is, on the streets. I see a lot of Zs in used car lots.
Zs are tough looking cars and offer good price/performance, especially if you go for a Base or Enthusiast model (the other models offer poorer value, IMHO) but the tire feathering problems would have burnt me out in the first year. Sports cars, including the S2000, eat a lot of tires but the Z is in a class all its own. Personally, I don't car who's the fastest. The S2000 is a blast to drive, especially with the top down. While the Z offers a ragtop, it's grossly overpriced and a could use a bit of a diet. Not to mention the aggressive lines of the coupe don't translate well into a roadster. If I wanted a boulevard racer I'd gone for some muscle-bound car like a Mustang Cobra. But I'm not into smok'n rubber from stoplight to stoplight. Nothing is funner than cruising the back roads in a S2000! |

S2k vs Z roadster
been driving 2001 S2K over 3years no mods.
have since UPGRADED to Z roadster always loved the crisp shift and phenom handling of the S2k but now after driving the Z the S2K feels like a overpowered go kart sorry guys I`ve also been told by many the S2k is a hot CHICK car that hurt |

It IS a hot chick car... I've lost count of the number of times hot chicks have asked me about the car. No complaints here!
Thank GOD it drives like a Go-Kart... that was exactly Honda's intent with this car. As opposed to a 2 door Altima with a ragtop. |

LOL love this post..!!! but Quik this guy would have to pass Honda's High Financing standards to even be able to test drive one so no worries!!!
If he could get a Z from Nissan, who gives anyone a car then he probably couldnt get a S even if he wanted one!! just a thought!! Quote:

You know what's so funny to me about this 350z VS S2000 debate? they're totally not even the same class of car. Convertible, sure - but it's like this Mustang I found on Youtube.
The guy calls his stang 'Supra Killer'. Now just take a step back and think about that. American 5 liter v8 'muscle car' killing a Japanese 3 liter inline 6 cylinder. The same stupidty applies to this scenario. 350z = 3.5 liter v6, heavy car, cruise gearing. S2000 = 2 liter (or 2.2 for you Ap2 clowns hehe), inline 4 cylinder, fairly lightweight car, very close-ratio low gearing. Simple logic would dictate that all else being equal, the 350z "SHOULD" be faster. A look at Nissans specs for is over the last several years shows that until just recently it was in fact slower off the showroom floor than a Honda S2000, even with it's much larger motor. With that in mind, go build up your S2k's and go smoke some Z's |

Perhaps your 30 year old man didn't know how to drive his car for max performance. My neighbor has a brand new Nissan Z broken down in her driveway right now- the mechanics can't figure out what is wrong with it. They think it may need a new computer. I'll take Honda's reliability and looks over that any day. Any day.

As far as I am concerned, going fast in a straight line requires very little skill.
A true test is on the twistys. That's where skill comes in to play.

There is no way a turbo s2000 lost to a stock 350z period. The 350 vx stock s is a darn good race as it was. This guy is trying to say he beat one with forced induction LOL. Crazy 15 year olds watching fast and the furious.

Whatever.
But if everybody was so tired of it, it still wouldn't be still kickin' after 3+ years. N' if nobody posted on it, it'd wind up filterin' to the bottom'a the page. A natural death, so'da speak. I figure it keeps kids off'a the streets. Whut's it hurtin'? 'Sides, some'a the stuff's @*#&in' funny. Be well. Java
