What's up, fella's? Im new to the scene here. Just bought an '02 S2000. Got a GREAT deal.....21,000 miles out the door with extended warranty for $23,000 miles. I did my research and decided on the '02 for the transmission and rear window upgrade. The car seems pretty solid, but I did buy the extended warranty because if I left the dealer without the warranty, I couldnt add it later. I can, however, cancell the policy for a full refund if I do it quick enough. I wasnt going to do it because its a certified pre-owned but the dealer got me on the $1500 convertible top motor replacement. The warranty is good for 10/100,000. I paid $995 for it....is it worth it? I bought a Honda for a reason but browsing over the forums real quick, it seems a few of you have had some issues with the S2000. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I thought all Certified Preowned Hondas came with a 10/100,000 mile warranty? Extended warranties can come in handy, mine did on our Prelude many years ago. There are issues with EVERY car and EVERY car company, it's a matter if the warranty covers what goes wrong. No extended warranty covers from bumper to bumper, but then even BTB warranties don't cover 'wear items.'
Your extended warranty is good for peace of mind, but whether you will need it or not, no one actually knows.
