S2000 Factory Accessory Seat Speakers

Has anyone installed the 2004 factory seat speaker kit in a 2003? Does it work?

Head rest speakers

I have them installed on my 2004. The only advantage I see is when the top is down it helps in hearing the radio. These are not some HiFidelity improvement in any way. Cost VS. Results - I wouldn't spend the money again if given the choice.

the speakers make a big difference

I just installed my headrest speakers last week. I haven't been driving the car much lately because of the weather but for the short time that I was, I could notice a significant difference. Before I added the speakers, it was difficult to really turn up the sound without getting the rattling sound. Now the music is more clear and right behind my head, very close to having a walkman and headphones.
I bought the speakers on the internet and installed them myself to cut down the cost. It took roughly 3 hrs to install and it really wasn't that difficult a task.
If you have the tools, the time, and the extra cash, I would recommend getting them.

Don't go stock!!!

Try s2ki.com and look for some pods that a guy named Mark has made. They fit inside the roll bar loops and are covered with the same leather as the center console. Very nice.

I haven't purchased a set yet but I will when I'm ready for my stereo upgrade. I've heard nothing but wonderful input on his work.

Just a thought.
