radar detector mounting location?

hello all, i bought a 2003 s2k today. car has 12,000 miles, black, real nice, runs great, suspension, steering, tranny, brakes all feel fresh. a lady owned it

. anyhow, i notice that the 12v power outlet is located in an inconvenient location to route the power cord for my radar detector. any suggestions? thanks.

I have mine hard mounted and sitting on the left side of the dash near the A pillar.

I got mine mounted in the middle, my cord is long enought that it runs strait down the dash under the side of the seat and comes up just to plug in.Its never got in the way except cleaning my dash.

I've got mine center dash. But, like you, the cord just doesn't make it. I have ordered a hardwire kit so I can ditch the plug-in.

I've got one of those 2-to-1 12V adapters. I ran the power cord for that under the center console and have the adapter outlets themselves tucked under the dash.

Then I just ran the power wire for the radar detector and my accelerometer to that.
