looking into a s2k

well iam very interestead in an sk2 and was wondering if anyone could tell me the buying points i know nothing about jap cars. Also what kind of HP could i pull out of it with new headers, exhuast, intake and a few more basic mods iam wanting the car for autocross thanks

Basically you have three major decisions to make.
1. '00-01 have a plastic rear window
2. '02-03 has a glass rear window and an improved sound system.
3. '04- present- more torque, softer suspension, lower red line.

As to your question about where to buy parts, you will need to be more specific. There are about 4 good choices for headers, 7+ good choices for exhausts, 4 choices for intakes (non-boosted), and a few choices for suspension. None of these will get you more than 20 WHP total.

I agree with gomarlins, no matter what combo of intake, headers, and exhaust you still won't see 20+ hp. Forced induction is the best way to go on this car.

As far as buying points, my suggestion is to go test drive an AP1 (00-03) and an AP2 (04-current) to see what feels best to you. Let us know if you have any more specific questions about the S, there are very knowledgeable people here.
