A few new parts... (with teaser pics)

New parts:
T1R Power70 (70mm) single exhaust - traded even with a guy for my 60mm Feel's duals.
T1R 70mm test pipe
Top Secret CF rear diffuser
Swift sway bars
Spoon x-braces
and finally took a pic of my new brake setup.

Here's a few teaser pics. Car is still VERY dirty, and I need to fab up some new brackets for the diffuser (temporary ones hold it well, but could look better). I know people say how useless a diffuser is on this car isn't very helpful you're going at a high speed. But you know what? I dig it. The price was great and the piece looks good. But if you don't like it, then that's cool too.

New brakes

Interior shot with Modifry dash bracket.

And a little video showing the exhaust at low RPM's (less than 3k). Can't really romp on it in my garage. It's really loud and my neighbors won't appreciate it.

Better pics/videos coming soon hopefully. Got an open track day at a certain local road course this weekend, so I'll get some good footage there. I <3 my car even more now.

Looks Great man! where did you get that rear spoiler? I love those flat ones that hang off the rear deck.Just cant seem to locate one. And also what kind of drilling did you have to do to put it on?

I like the diffusers and did debate on getting one, but haven't really looked into it yet.

As for the spoiler: It looks like the BYS one that simply clips into the 3rd light space. No drilling involved. The only problem is you lose your 3rd brake light which is illegeal in many (if not all) states.

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

I actually got the spoiler with the trunk, both of which were used. There was an authorized vendor over on the other s2k boards that was selling them, and there's a company that sells copies of it on eBay (but I couldn't verify the quality of them). A nice feature of this design of spoiler is that it the good quality version doesn't require and drilling. You simply remove the 3rd brake light and the spoiler bolts on right there using the existing bolt holes.

The original version of the spoiler is made by a Japanese company called Backyard Special and can be bought on Bulletproof Automotive.

As for the legality of not having a 3rd brake light...yes I believe it is technically illegal. However, I have never been questioned about it and have not personally heard of anyone else having problems because of it. If it's really a genuine concern, you could pretty easily fabricate a 3rd brake light mounted to the bottom of the rear windscreen using a generic red LED strip light and the OEM wiring.

Good idea. I have asked over there is any of them have received a ticket and never get a reply. It's probably one of those things that the police won't hassle you about unless they already have you for something else. Kind of like the front license plate.

I too like the diffuser.. It looks very clean.. Is that a Seibon hood or other brand?

Yep. It's a Seibon. And I wouldn't buy another hood from them unless I can actually see it fitted on the car first.

Bummer... I was thinking buying the very same hood that you have. But I was worrying about the fitment... I guess I have to spend more for Mugen's...

Dig the diffuser though.. Where did you get that and how much?

Seibon fitment really seems to be hit or miss. I used to have a front lip from them and it fit perfectly. Other people with their hoods love them. As for me and a few others, the fitment was a big disappointment.

I got the diffuser used from an owner up in Canada. Paid $400 shipped.

It's kind of funny that so many people have mentioned it to me. i really didn't expect anyone to pick him out. I guess KD does have a pretty big underground following. yeah, the little bulb on his head is suppossed to light up when I'm getting an incoming cell phone call, but it works on japanese cell phone frequencies, so no luck. However, he does blink whenever I drive through toll booths.
