00 civic si or 03 s2k?
With five months left on the loan for the civic, i found a s2k. My question is would it be worth buying the s2k or building the civic?

My question is: would you rather be inside playin' with your wrench sets r' would you rather be out toolin' aroun' with the top down lookin' for chicanes to lay waste to?
Be well. Java

Well put. This is a no-brainer for most of us.

It depends on what you are looking for. The Civic will take a lot of work to handle as well as the S2000 (stock). But with a few mods to the S, the Civic will never be able to handle as well. If your not looking the do any autoX, its kind of a toss up between the two. The S wasn't really made to do strait line stuff, so I would lean towards the Civic.

If you are having to ask, I would suggest the Civic.

Just my standard response. I am not trying to say that the S is so awesome that you can't compare it to any other car, it's just that we are talking about a FWD, fixed roof, four seat, (possible) four door car VS a RWD, convertable, two seat, two door car. Kind of reminds me of apples and oranges really.
Civics can be an awesome car and really do well at the drags and autoXing when set up correctly, but I can't really see people cross shopping them.

civics are good at drag racing????????? Something about the lack of weight transfer I dont like. Auto x what would you need to do to a civic to get it to handle as well as a s2000?

well i still have time to decide, i was just curious on your thought since i know jack about S2ks. My SI is at 94k about time for the 100k plugs, belt etc. my one concern with the SI, is that its burn alittle oil, about a quart every 3 months. I do drive it daily since my truck died, but i really cant decide on whether another 4 years in debt is better than fixing up the SI? I know that if i dont go through the engine before i drop a turbo into it i will pay later.

Many S2000's, burn that much oil as well. I think it comes down to how it was broken in. The cost of fixing up the Civic will be less then the cost of an S2000.

incections forever... i hope your joking about that question...
The S2000 is one of the most beautifull and slick roadsters ever to be on the road. Civic's are a dime a dozen. You can roll up in front of a club with your top down on the S2000 and be treated like a man, however if you were to do that in a civic, they would think your a little kid. S2000 ALL DA WAY! |
