Question Insurance?!

Im trying to get a feeler out on what insurance for a 21 year old in Tampa, FL with a clean record is going to be like. Im gonna be insured by USAA for a 2000 S2000. Any idea what i might be looking at?

Hmm, I pay $66 per month with full coverage, a $500 deductable and $1,000,000 liability, but I'm 35. . .and my wife's an insuance agent, so I don't know how that will relate. She says you should get comparable rates from USAA. She also says "make sure you rasie the liability limits to $1,000,000"; people are crazy sue-happy these days, and the few extra bucks every month could save your a$$.

Yeat thats some good advice, i really havent thought about that but its true it would save your butt. Thanks man i think i'm going to call USAA and see how much its going to be to raise my liability to 1,000,000.

looking for advice....

I am a 21 y/o live in MD, and looking to buy a 2003 s2000... but a little worried about insurance.

I also use USAA, and have a clean record.
I currently have a VW Jetta and pay over $120 a month, am I going to be paying over 150 for the s2000? or have i screwed up my insurance coverage?

thanks

I am 22 no points full coverage is 150 a month which is really good for my area I think. I know if I get in one accident my insurance company will drop me real quick.

Overall, I godda go with 'Fact (sorry 'Fact, jus' can't bring myself ta callin' ya Baby), but, the muzzle of your question gun should be pointed at your insurance agents. They're the ones gonna give you the cold hard facts n' the cold hard numbers.
We could dance aroun' here all day but, unless one of us is an agent who can write you, it's Wheelspin 101.
Be well.

im 19 getting full coverage, progressive gave me a "cheap" quote, as far as all other providers out there.. i have a clean record, and was going on my own policy.. so far my monthly premium would be at $310 a month with a grand deductable. esurance gave me the cheapest over all alternative (with $500 down payment to activate services) at $266 a month

as far as jumpin onto my folks policy, im now at $160 a month with a 500 deductable. (i feel like such a bastard for getting that)
im guessing you would be at least $75 cheaper then me over all providers. AT LEAST!

happy hunting

for now im with allstate
Allstate - Official Site - Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Financial Products and More

there is also progressive
http://www.progressive.com/

e-surance
Esurance Auto Insurance - Online auto insurance quotes, comparisons, & car insurance resources.

3 major ones to look out for..
then there is also state farm
State Farm - Home

although watch out for one thing.. i have visited FL to see my grandparents a few times. and many parts of florida are high risk accedent ... parts..
dont be too suprized if you get an outragous quote.. but to get the most accurate quote, i'd suggest calling the companies. i believe it is much quicker
and they can also pull up recent auto insurance company info (for example your coverage) and they can use the same info from that coverage to determine the rates they offer.

i wish you good luck leo520!

did you by any chance negotiate any? maybe ask how you can lower payments with higher deductables?

I am 24 years old, almost 25. I have GEICO. Clean record, no tickets, nothing. I have a motorcyle 05 ninja and an 03 s2000. I pay a total of $82 a month for both the car and bike.

The car has full coverage, the bike has liability only. You think that's too low you say? $500 deductible and $100,000/300,000 coverage. So no, I'm not gettin ripped somehow. Yes, its extremely low and I am extremely lucky
