Rough Tranny?

My 2004 shifts kinda rough from 1st to 2nd gear just right after a cold start and only during that first shift. Then its pretty smooth after that.
Is anyone else having this problem wit the 2004's or previous models. Its not grinding or anything but it does require more effort. Is this something that I should be worried about? Kinda hard to show the service department this problem since it only happens during the first shift of a cold start.

I think it's pretty normal. Most manuals require more effort when it's quite cold outside. My S2000 has similar findings, but it also grind a little from 2nd to 3rd when cold. Once warm, everything works fine.
