Urgent Help header and exhaust
I just purchase the mugen header from KingMotorsport. Does anyone know if I would need to take out the catalytic converter for this? I shot an email to kingmotorsport, but it's a sunday and they are close. I was going to buy the J's racing 70RR ti exhaust, but it's says it's a header back. I don't know if the mugen header will fit with the j's racing 70RR exhaust. can any one advise? My whole intent was to get a header and cat back and not take out the catalytic converter. Give me some advise guys.

Don't take out your catalytic converter. It has a huge purpose on your exhaust. "A catalytic converter is an emission-control product that cleans up a gasoline-powered engine's exhaust. Exhaust gases leave the engine and pass through one or more catalytic converters where unburned hydrocarbons and other byproducts of the combustion process are converted into less harmful emissions." quoted from Honda catalytic converter
that's the main reason why you should keep your cat. |

When you remove the battery heatshield, don't take the bolt closest to the firewall out, just loosen it and the heat shield will slide up over it. Have that be the last bolt you loosen. Trust me, it's easier that way.

You can run your mugen header with the J's exhaust. The j's exhaust has a cat delete straight pipe for better flow. If you buy that exhaust it's best that you remove the cat. So if you are worried about passing emissions then don't. but it's not a big deal. I have an Apexi N1 Catback with straight pipe and it's fine.
