maint required.....
i installed my aem cold air intake about 3 weeks ago and i had about 7000 miles and i was racing a v12 benz on the freeway and my maint. required light turned on..... i'm at 9000 miles and i still haven't gotten it check out yet... is this comon??? am i the only one with this problem??? i know on all the new cars the maint required light turns on after your first 10,000 miles.... does anyone know what's wrong with my car??

Just to expand on the previous post a bit more....
The maintenance required light is a reminder light that comes on at predefined intervals to remind you to service your car (eg change oil etc). This should be reset when your car is serviced. The check engine light comes on if there are problems...if this happens get it looked at immediately. M@ |

Maint Req
The Maint. Required light, if I am not mistaking, comes on every 7500 miles.

Maint Required Light
If you didn't find the instructions in your owners manual. Here it is, it must be done exactly. Put your key in the ignition (just in) hold down the TRIPOMETER reset button (Bottom Right of dash) for 10 seconds. Then turn the key to the on postion while keeping the trip button down for an additional 10 seconds. And POOF! Its gone. When i said,turn the key to the "ON" postion I mean turn it all the way, WITHOUT pushing the start button.
