The dreaded blind spots

I just bought my 2007 S@k like 2 months ago and it is so hard to see around the blind spots with the top up. feel like I'm going to miss something and kill myself. Any tricks or pointers on overcoming this fear? Would really appreciate any help. Thanks much!

Smart aleck response - always drive with the top down !!!

Gentlemanly response - The S is known for those darn blind spots. I always back out of parking spaces very slowly constantly looking back and forth through the windows while keeping an eyeball on the rear view mirror.

I think it's the best we can do.

Yeah Sylph. If the tops up, the blind spots're a given. You've jus' goddadoo whu'cha goddadoo to counter 'em.
I can't see anythin' other than massive doses of attentiveness with our heads severely twisted aroun' out the window r' ping-pongin' back n' forth between that n' the mirrors.
But the Dude has a point 'bout puttin' the top down. I'll go with that for 100.
May the weather be fair (that's for the top-down mode) n' the road ahead majorly twisty n' devoid of any form of traffic n' motor-head cops in those @&#^in' Hemi Chargers.
Be well.

Best I could do was get a couple of small round mirrors and stuck them on the very outer edge of the mirror. Walmart has them for about $1.88 for a pair. Good luck.

I just bought mine in May....the best thing I found is back into all spots...that way you can just pull out!! has worked well for me!! also this eliminates the issue of scraping your nose on sidewalks and stoppers!!!!

first, make sure both rearview mirrors are pointed completely out (you can't see the side of the car when you look in the mirror). This takes care of the blind spots on both sides of the car...second..blind spots are a given in the car with the top up...be extra careful.

kg's godda real good point that I neglected to mention.
Real time n' effort should be spent properly alignin' Stewie's sideviews. Stewie's very sensitive to proper side mirror adjustment n' proper alignment for maximum use makes a world'a difference.
(But kg's alot younger'n me so he'd remember stuff like that better)
Be well.

I have little 2" mirrors that I mount on the outside rearview mirrors in the lower outside corners. I actually do this on all of my vehicles and it helps A LOT!!

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Practice driving the road with a car next to you. It's the only way to get used on where you need to look in the mirrors. You'll get used to it after a few scares.
