Accident prone?
Hello Gentleman,
I'd appreciate finding out if anyone has had a similar accident to mine. Two weeks ago I caused a serious accident (fortunately no one was hurt) when my S2000 went out of control with absolutely no warning. I was emerging from the entrance ramp and accelerating onto the freeway, and I accelerated hard from 30 up to about 60 when the car just started swerving hard to the right towards oncoming traffic. I tried to correct by turning back to the left, but the car did not respond, and my car ended up slamming into the car in the lane to my right. which ended up bouncing against the wall on the right, while my car was deflected to the left towards the wall. I couldn't do anything to steer away from the wall and ended up slamming into it. Both vehicles were heavily damaged. The driver side steering assembly was broken away from the chassis, but I don't how much damage was caused by its impact with the wall. Question is: has anyone had a similar experience of losing control without any warning or justification? Thanks in advance |

I've had a hairy experience too!
It's called pushing the car past it's limits when the tires are the only thing holding the car down. In my case I was lucky that I didn't kill myself or mess my car up. I was racing an evo and his car was set up to handle lowered and I thought I could take him on the on ramp with cornering when all of a sudden I drifted toward the white line. My girl who was sleeping woke up and noticed the drift. That was the single most scary moment in that car. I edged off the accelerator gradully so as not to get out of shape and not dare toudh the brakes. I drifted four or five more feet toward the edge at which point I would have dropped off the side and for sure hit a light post on the way down the side of this steep drop off. To put it short at that speed they would only have to have picked us up with a toothbrush and spoon

Holy shiznick!!
Did I say that all four wheels were drifting. That is what happens when your suspension doesn't give.

you should check your springs! sometimes the dealership forgets to take them out! if they are there maybe u can blame the dealership. here's more info on the spacers.
