Differential Change??

I have been seeing alot of people talk about changing there differential to 4.77 or 4.44 gears. What does every recommend is the better gear and is there anything I need to consider to change on my stock 2000 before changing the gears?

gears

i have the 4.44 gears now and I think there perfect. From what I'm hearing now, A lot of people are using the 4.77s. I personally feel they are a little to aggressive for regular driving. I think the car would be reving to high at cruising speeds. They also have a 4.57 gear out now.

Thats cool. How much was the change to 4.44 gears and how big of an improvement was it from stock?

You will also need something along the lines of a "yellowbox" so that your speed will be indicated correctly after you change the gearing.

rear gears

I work at an Acura dealer and am friends with one of the technicians. He did it for me cheap. I think I gave him 100 dollars for it. I hear it should really cost anywhere from 400 to 700 dollars depending on how much people charge per hour.

He actually did it twice because the first time I thought I heard some whistling noises coming form the rear. He took them out and realigned them. Still same noise so I guess it was normal.
