comptech supercharger vs. UR Turbo Kit
ok, so Im looking for a forced induction system for my baby. I've tweaked her up on the usual bolt on's and engine mods but i really want some boost. I've narrowed it down to the comptech supercharger and aftercooler or the ultimate racing turbocharger kit. I know the base gains for both kits, but which one supplies the best base for more power. I'm lookin in the range of 500-550hp is my end goal. I would think the supercharger would be more every day reliable but is it? Any comments or suggestions you can give me befor i blow 5500 bucks would be great. Also does anyone know a place online to buy a genuine cavalleresco body kit? thanks

NO way you're going to get 500+ hp out of a SC even with a pulley upgrade. For those kinds of gains (i.e. > double of the base hp output) you're going to need a turbo, and likely nitrous. I'm assuming you aren't thinking daily driver here, because with that kind of boost (say 16+ psi) and the S2's compression ratio, you will need to run race gas. Where are you thinking of having the work done?

For that sort of horsepower you will need a large turbo kit and also internal engine modifications to reliably run that sort of power. This is by no means a cheap job.
Here's one (somebody else) prepared earlier http://www.samuraifiles.com/modules....rticle&sid=121 M@ |

So I'm about to get the 2004 S2000, and i cant decide on what mods to go for, im thinking about force induction like turbo, but i heard that when you install turbo, all previous mods would have to be removed?...coz dey wont work wit the turbo, so yea, i just wanted to know if dat was true, and if it is..what od you guys suggest...thanks

Turbos are great but man tuning is a nightmare. Reliability is another issue. If your car is a daily then I would not suggest you go for the 500 hp mark. You will need upgraded fuel management, usually stand alone, and larger injectors. You would also need to lower the compression ratio by upgrading your internals.
But if you want to just pass smog, drive free of mind then go with the SC. Just my opinion that's all. Duc
