Word is, some dealerships are selling 04s for just inder 31K. Figure 10% for tax and license and you should be out the door for around 34K. From that number, you can calculate your payments using an online payment calculator based on how much you put down or trade, APR and duration of loan.

Some younger drivers at www.s2ki.com have had as much as $3000/yr or more for full coverage. Married and over 25 it should be half that. Will depend on where you live & driving record too.

I would also add that the cost of owning this car goes a bit beyond that. For example, owning a convertible and not owning a house with a garage (i.e. parking it in the street or an apartment complex garage every night) is asking for trouble.

The monthly payment is based on the how much you borrowed, the interest rate, and length of the loan. This calculation is the same for all car loans, not just for the S2000. Just find a financial calculator and you can figure it out. In fact, it is wise to figure this out before hand so that finance guy at the dealer won't screw you on the monthly payment. Try this web site http://www.cars.com/go/buyIndex.jsp.

The best place to find answers your insurance question is the car insurance company. There are too many variables that can affect your rate. I pay around $400/6month for the S2000. I don't think it means much to you unless you live in Las Vegas, own a house, married, own more cars than drivers, >25 yo..ect, ect.

Red face S2k

I pay $192.00 a month for full coveragew/ glass. I'm 28 and a female so that may lessen it a bit. I did read the S2k was the 5th most expensive car to insure in the us. I had a 2006 Pontiac Torrent last and I was paying $160 a month so the increase didn't seem too bad to me.
