The s2000's mod's which are the best

Iv seen alot of qustions about the mod's of the s2000, most bolt on parts for the car do not produce alot of power for the S most arent even noticeable ( most are noticeable by sound and not performacne ) unless u have well made boltons and many of them, forced induction is the best way to get power but on the other hand the car runs better n/a because of the compression ratio is so high unless you get low crompression pistons. the motor would be perfect for a tubo since it is a high free reving engine but most of all tuning is the problem and reliability which sends me to go buy a copmtec s/c which is perfect with the tri-y headers which give me power at a low rev point and a big kick after v-tec when the centrifical s/c kicks in.....most bolt ons arent worth the money you pay i am very smart about the subject iv been building honda race motors for my friends which i also own a private garage ....i have a b16a whith 332 whp with a custom built turbo kit .....any questions

Yes adding forced induction usually does produce the highest horsepower figures.

The fact it is a high revving engine does not make it "perfect for a turbo".

A perfect turbo engine would be a lower compression engine that does not require rebuilding to handle a high level of boost. A low boost (eg 7psi)turbo should not have any reliability problems without requiring lowering engine compression. When you go above this, is when you start to have reliability issues and therefore need to rebuild the engine including lower the compression ratio to avoid detonation.

I assume you mean Comptech and not copmtec. Another popular kit for the s2000 is the Vortech supercharger kit.

Headers do not give you much of an improvement in low range power, and the centrifugal superchager does not "kick in" at vtec, but produces a linear improvement of torque and power starting at approx 2500 revs (although really operates the moment the engine turns over).
This slowly increases with peak power coming on around 8800 rpm, and peak torque at 8500rpm. The power and torque levels are higher than stock when vtec kicks in, so maybe this is what you are referring to, but they are higher than stock through the entire rev range, not just a particular point.

Most bolt ons do not give large gains, although changing the stock exhaust can give some signifcant results. When you start putting forced induciton (or any large engine power increases) on the car you also have to consider other car components such as the drivetrain, that were not built to handle this level of power.

the headers

headers do make different power ranges before and after v-tec,the tri-y headers get more power before v-tec and 4-2-1 headers get more power after v-tec , and by the way for just turning 16 about a week ago im still young and have alot to learn but i know alot for my age but im not that smart about the f series engines but i do have an idea how they perform

I was considering the vortech supercharger for my 00 s2k whenever i get a few more grand closer to the price tag im just a kid it takes a while for me to make some decent money, plus some more for installation .

the numbers i saw were impressive with a 108 hp gain but will it compromise reliability of the vehicle or will it be alright for the most part running around 7 psi
