I don't know the offset thing well enough to explain it, but I have seen a chart of it somewhere. I will try to get ahold of that for you. BTW I think bronze rims look very nice on black s2000s. That is what I have. Black S2K with Advan RG bronze rims.

I have Work Meister 18' and the offset is +63 in the rear and +51 in the front. This is about the perfect offset for an S2k.

don't you love it when someone doesn't explain something, but just provides you a link? it's like they don't know or something...
anyways, offset is... um... hard to explain without a diagram... basically, cut the width of the wheel in half (so an 8" wide wheel would be 4" and 4") from that mid point, if your offset is +40mm, then that means the contact point of the wheel to the hub is 40mm away from the mid-point or centerline of the wheel... towards the outside of the car (or away from the hub) and if your offset is a -40mm, then it's 40mm away from the mid-point or centerline of the wheel towards the inside of the car. to compare, a proper offset for a 9" wide wheel in the rear for the s2k is around +60mm; a proper offset for a 9" wide wheel for the 350z is about +22mm (some guys run +15mm) some of the drifting corolla's you see on D1 run 0mm offset or even lower. obviously, if you have a widebody kit, then you'd want to have a lower offset. |

lets make this simple for you. when looking for rims for your s2 you must buy rims with an offset of +50 or higher or you will either have to roll your fenders or you will rub. most major complanies have wheels made for the s2. as posted prior *work* wheels are an excellent choice. however, these wheels are expensive. my suggestion is to find a wheel with an offset of +55 or higher just to ease your worry depending on how low you are going to go with your car.
oh, one more thing. you also have to decide on whether or not you are going to keep your wheels 'staggered' refer to the post by jskim9 ... he explains 'offset' and will be really helpful |

exactly why posting links is the way to go. Sometimes, spewing a bunch of BS and giving random examples (he wasn't interested in the offset of a 350 or a drift Corolla) shows more ignorance than you might imagine. |
