Thinking about getting an S2000
Greetings all....I'm thinking about getting one of these bad boys. Right now I have an '03 Acura CL Type S and I'm thinking about a change. i've already read up on the ap1 v. ap2 arguments.....some other questions I have are:
-which years come with HID projectors -What engines correspond to which model years -Realistic Gas Mileage -any interior differences? |

As far as I know....they all have HID's, up to '03 are the 9K rpm redline 2.0 liter engine, '04 and up have the 8k rpm redline 2.2 liter engine, realistic gas mileage will range depending if you drive it like your grandmother or Ayrton Senna (15-20 mpg), interior differences range from leather color, badges and various trim items. If you google or wikipedia the topic or just in general look up the car on the many forums, you will get all the info you need.

as far as the interior they "contoured" the doors on the ap2's for a little more room inside the cabbin.

so far as I know, all years
1999 to 2003 2.0 Liter 2004 to present 2.2 Liter define realistic. I get 24 on the highway. I also have a 4:77 Comptech hardened diff as answered above. Door panels were changed to offer more shoulder/arm room. - Center console is different between AP-1 and AP-2 models. - Carpet was changed. - Posts on the floor pan were added to attach the floor mats. - Radio door changed between AP-1 and AP-2. - Different instrument cluster between AP-1 and AP-2. - AP-2 has small net "catch-alls" on transmission hump. - AP-2 has door "package" area. - Rear window defrost switch moved to dash on AP-2. - Plastic rear window in 1999-2001 AP-1 (not sure of the exact year the switch was made to glass rear window)... Other than that, not much difference
