S2k theft.....highly sought after car?
Had my '00 S2k about a week now and my concern is the plastic rear window when it comes to theft. Not sure what the theft attempts are on these cars but I now find myself highly concerned/uncomfortable when I spend the night with my girl since she lives in a apartment complex. I have an alarm but don't even like the idea of attempts and expensive damage to the top or window.

Buy some seat locks as the seats are very desirable by the low life P.O.S. who just don't want to work for a set for their slammed and throughly riced Civics and Integras. Then when the Valkyrie system is available stateside install that as it will have GPS tracking available for individual components for a car including the seats and then if they are stolen you can track down the thieves and kill them.

that vinyl window is nothing to worry about. the whole top is plastic. i would take all precautions. where are you in GA? if you are in Atlanta, remember that you should never leave anything in your car that you want to take home with you. probably good advice for anywhere else too.

One thing to keep in mind is someone can get into you car with the top up without cutting anything or breaking the glass. I am not going to post it up on the forum, but it can be done. Like they said, dont leave anything in visible sight. That is the best thing to do. Alarms are nice, but as I mentioned before, you can get in without setting it off.

However, the WHOLE (be it only takes a few minutes) process will make you have to replace the soft top motor...so I dont think it is going to help you get your keys out...lol |

Get a motion detector alarm with a pager and get a FiveseveN or nine mm to kill the evil doer.
