Convertible top wind noise

Anyone have a solution for a very irritating wind noise at the top of the convertible top? Noise comes from where the top meets the windshield. My dealer replaced a part and that helped for about a month, but now the noise is back. Seems like the top doesn't latch down tightly with enough tension. Any ideas?

I actually cut a little rubber hose and put it over the hooks in the latch, this helped. But didn't completly quiet it. My dealer was no help. I might get thicker hose. Try it. Heat shrink tubing might work pretty good.

I found an honest dealer in Traverse City MI who acknowledged that Honda service bulletin #01-037 dated May 15, 2001 addresses the issue of wind noise. The bulletin states that the convertible top strikers (latch receiver at top of window) should be replaced with the hardtop strikers. The dealer agreed to replace the parts under warranty even though my warranty has expired.

thanks, maybe i can come across an honest dealer around here. they just told me that i must of pinched something in mine. and then had the nerve to ask if i tried to put it back down and up again.... i told him no, i usually just give up after one try! how do i get a copy of this service bulletin, i would be much obliged. thanks again.

Ask your dealer for a copy of the service bulletin referenced in my last posting. Or, if you don't mind posting your e-mail address, I will email a copy of it to you.

i actually talked to honda directly and they were pretty cool about it. They told me just to take it in to my local dealership and that they should do the replacement under warranty. If i had any problems they said to have them call there district mangement office. Thanks again, I really appreciate the info.
