Road Trip

Just got back from the first longer distance road trip in the S2K. Drove from White Rock, down the I5 to Astoria, down the Oregon coast to Northern California, and into Napa. Spent 1 day in San Fransisco, (running out of time), and pounded down the I5 home.
Great 1 week vacation, lots of fun roads around Napa. My wife & I traveled with another couple that just purchased an MX5 Mazda, and I was very surprised that we got better millage than them! Averaged about 31-32 mpg.
The S2k is a little noisy at hi-way speed, but more comfortable than it thought it would be. The seats are excellent! You also have to pack smarter than normal, as the trunk space gets full quickly, especially having to take the top cover as well.
All good fun, remember to where a cap & sun screen with the top down, even if it doesn't seem warm out, I didn't on the first day, and burned my face!
Cheers, Greg

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!
After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name.

Northern California is definately a great place for the S2000 to shine, plenty of great roads. I hope you drove over the Oakville Grade...an amazing road.

The Oregon Coast is a fun drive. Driven it many times in the motor home.
