It makes a rattling noise when going round a corner...

Ok, I have a 2001 model which I absolutely love. I've noticed that if I corner sharply it makes a noise almost as if a coin or marble is underneath the dash, rolling from one side to the other.

Can anyone shed any light?

hey thx for u r support on my oil post. Anyway, i also have that problem it seems to be either inside my door or somewhere in space where the convertable puts into. Mine happens when i accelerate and then if u brake u can hear it, also if the road is bumpy the thing will jump and make noise. I think mine is due to a loose screw or some rocks that some kids put in when i have my convertable down @@ i am not sure too

Cheers. I'm taking it in for the 36,000 service in a couple of weeks so I'm going to ask about it, it is kinda annoying as I do a lovely sharp turn which the car handles perfectly but I get a rattling noise! It honestly sounds like a penny has got underneath the dash and rattles from one side of the car to the other.

It's probably a coin! Seriously, I used to keep change in the 'cup holder' on my AP1 and I eventually noticed that when it got full, coins fell out when the lid was shut - so when I traded it in who knows how much money I left under the center console!
