Is there a way to check a year of an engine?

I am swapping an f20c into an ae86 corolla. I am looking for the fuse boxes in the engine bay and inside the car.
The engine bay fuse box does not change but apparently the in car one changed from 03-04...

The problem is the guy I bought the engine from was not sure what year it was. Is there a way to check what year it was by whats written on the engine?

Thanks

You could check the serial # on honda's website

I believe the VIN should be on the engine.

You can use this website to tell what year I believe

I am pretty sure the VIN is not on the engine itself... And I have searched honda's site and googled and I can not find a place to enter a serial number to find out the year.
