Check Engine Light coming on around 15k miles, fix inside!!!

Not sure if all of you know about this, and/or know how to fix it, but I found out today and figured I would share. A service consultant was in the dealership I work in today and I asked him about the Maint Required Light, or whatever it says that comes on, I'm well aware that allot of manufacturers have this wonderful little service light that comes on at a certain amount of miles and they get allot of service work out of it. Anywhooo, he told me the 15k mile maint. isn't critical and basically, they change the oil, rotate tires, adjust the calipers and charge you $xxxxx.xx.


Here's the fix.
Hold down the trip button, and then put the key in and turn it to the on position, continue to hold the button, the light will flash, and after a few seconds, go away. he did however metion that the 30k mile service was of greater importance, all the fluids are changed then, as well as some other minor replacements and fixes, all which could be done by you at a lower cost.
