Someone who knows what they are looking for can tell if any major repairs were done. If you are gonna buy a car on ebay without looking at it than I dont know what to tell you.
you very well could be right about the paint. i just haven't seen primer that dark. and why primer the emblems and taillight?

and your point about being $12K is dead on. i hope phil gets to see it. TAKE PICS, PHIL!

a silver/black '07 S2k was new here for $29k a few months ago. By comparison that flat-black ebay car doesn't seem like a great deal. Paint would be a few grand, repairs a few grand, this a few grand, would it ever be the same?

And then you'd have no warranty...

That is straight up rattle can primer. Plus it does say "salvage" title. In some states that means the repairs exceeded 55% the value of the car. It does mean that an insurance company wrote off the car to me destroyed or parted out, but someone bought it and put it back together. BAD BAD BAD!

A professionally painted flat, matte, or satin paint looks totally different. I've seen them next to each other. You deffinately do NOT want a primer'd car if you are not going to paint it. Primer is not meant to be the finishing coat.

I should know, my S is satin. I did a lot of research before taking the leap.

Back in my youth we didn't have money for paint, so we drove around in cars painted dark gray primer. It became cool.

I wonder if he pulled his 350 Z as well?
