AEM intake check engine went on...

Hi everyone!

I had my cold air AEM intake PROFFESIONALLY installed and fist time I turned on the car there is no engine cheeck light on, about three hours later I started the car and my engine check light went on ....??? could it be the AEM that was put on? I have 43000 on the car......

Need help ---thanks much---

intake

hey man, sorry to hear that your check engine whent on but you shouldnt even be asking if it could have been the intake. ofcourse its the intake MAN! there is some many tubes and sensors connected to that air box that you cant even imagine, and if one of them gets disconnected or put in the wrong place or broken then your check engine goes on. and another thing you call it "PROFESSIONALLY" installed come on man i belive you that the guys that installed your intake have installed intakes before but how many have they installed on s2k's thats the question? WELL GOOD LUCK.

yup. Your 'professional' install sounds like it didn't quite make the grade. Recommend using AEM's directions (if they're worth damn) and retrace any steps that had anything to do with sensor hookups. I'm sure its nothing serious.

Thanks for the feedbacks....
I will actually have my mechanic check them out this saturday...
I hope someone wont have the same problem, and I will post what was the lil' issue {maybe it's the environment change, cuz' u know the s2000 is filled with sensors}..
