I'm interested in hearing about this too

I'll probably be ready for a new toy by then, I'll keep the one I've got now around once I get a new one, and I'll figure out something to do with it. I must admit though, the thought of a V-12 Twin Turbo has gotten my attention as well, I think Chrysler has one in concept or something like that, I know Mercedes makes one now, but don't get me started on Mercedes. Bawk Bawk, Happy Thanksgiving.

False. Nobody knows the future of the S2000. 2008? Are you kidding me. If I had a dime for all the cars that were projected in the mags 3-4 years in advance that never materialized...

i heard it's going to be the S2008 with an inline eight with only 2 liters pumping out an incredible 650 hp with 120 ft pound of torque at 21k rpm. well that's what i heard

Fool!! Inline 8? there hasn't been an inline 8 for decade(s) take too much space, imagine the Supra or the Corvette but about 10-12 inches longer up front, that F@ck huge. Let see, inline 8 with 2 liters, do you know how small the pistons will be? half the size it's right now. Let me get this straight 650 horsepower with only 120 bl.ft. of torque, I though the s2 is shitty enough with the torque of only 153, now it'll rediculously shitty.
OHH and one more thing 21k RPM, do you know what RPM means? I doubt it, that 21 thousands rotation per minute, Formula 1 car doesn't even come close to this let alone street car, no wait even sport bike don't come near this ( a normal sport bike would have red line at 11-15K rmp) this nowhere near 21k rpm. I post this article because I truly saw this on a newspaper, but if you don't know what the f@ck you talkin about, STFU, Period.

inline 8, 650 horsepower, with 120 lb.ft. torque at 21k rpm, apparently you don't know jack about car if you do, none of the above would make sense.

Ohh one more thing, I've seen alot of people posting about there s2 used up a lot of oil. This is why, if you are the first owner, it's your fault, if you are the second owner, it the first owner fault, that is because when you first purchase the s2 you were suppose to let the engine break in, this mean you are not to take it about 6k rpm for the first 600-1000 miles, otherwise you will f@ck up your piston rings, and this will cause oil to leak through the piston and engine use up oil. So if you are one of those just got your new s2 brand new, don't vtec it for the first 500 miles, believe me you'll be reward with your patient, for those who don't, well you'll be posting article asking why your s2 use too much oil.

How can anyone control 21K in traffic?
And how can the engine be smooth in the low range then.

mmhh... Would have loved to have a 350Z instead of an S2000 IF the convertible version didn't had such a massive and ugly boot and if it weight a little less.
If anyone experience in driving one, how is it in the high revs?

I like your attitude Smalls777!!, and why is this fool ask about 350Z in this forum? beside it slower than the s2, not as sportie, corner capability..... and so on.

i've drove one before it feels like normal v6 car but with better acceleration @@ nothing special. the car tries to make the driver feel like u r driving a V8 but its actually not quite ... no special high revs feelings (unlike s2k) since the red line is somewhere 6500rpm but if u want to know what it feels like then at the redline u don feel much power as if is at 4000-5500rpm range i think for this type of cars peak torque is at the middle... i gotta say it has the characteristics of a Mercedes v8 but just not quite der yet ... oh yeah also i donno if 350z is slower than s2k ... but based on those factory facts etc. and stories that i've heard i think 350z is quite a fast car so is s2k

From what ive read, i think i won't like it that much.
And just above 6000 rpm isn't that much.
I like it a little manic and racey like the s2000.

Smalls777 mentioned a 350Z and that's why i brought it up.
Don't tell me your an s2000 fanboy and everything else is bad.
Just trying to make a comparison with the 350Z and learn!

i rode in my buddies "Z" and personally they couldn't of found a better letter for the designation... ZZZZZ.... it's alright, wouldn't own one personally. Probably go the extra mile and get a g35. i'll stick with my "S", it feels more solid, and i know in the long run it'll give me less trouble. I only base that statement on previous "Z's". Plus in these days and times, lets give the "Z" something like turbo's (you know like they did back in the 90's). I mean give it some ooommph! Something that not every stamped out six cylinder car in this world has "6 cylinders". I would have been way more impressed with 350hp. They did 300hp in 1991 "NINETY ONE!". So maybe nissan will quit giving their luxury cars (Infiniti) so much more atttention, and bring back some lust to their sports cars. But i'm not waiting

I agree, the spotscars these days are getting to civilised and to compromised.
The s2000 is a drivers car without any traction control.
Other cars that are in my opinion good and real drivers cars are the Viper and the lotus elise/exige.
Most others take you by the hand to much i think.
