i know that the car should have come with a card, and that the dealer has this info on file via vin#, but what happens when these two options fail? does anyone have any suggestions or does anyone know the mfg of the factory radio?

Depending on year and dealer prep, there should be a sticker in your storage compartment (small white sticker with black writing) which 'should' have at least your radio serial Number (one letter followed by 5 numbers).
Some people have noticed that not only does this sticker have the serial number but it also has the radio code on it. Others have found this sticker in the door sill, on the inside of the trunk, in the spare/tools area. If you only have the serial number, you need to go to a dealer to have them look up the code. |
