type evolution

Hi there,

I'm looking for a second hand S2k, one of the first models (European market), let's say between 1999-2002. So i'm trying to get me some relevant information. But, even on the internet it seems hard to find out the differences between the kind of types that have been issued. Is there anyone in this virtual space who can help me? I don't need extensive explanation's, just -if possible- a brief 'where to look at' to recognize a specific type. Thanks in reward!
