OH Another Newbie!! Just want to say Hi! Pics inside

Hi Guys,

Just want to say Hi and feel welcomed! This is my first Honda, so please be very gentle with me.

I just exchanged my very beloved MRS to a 2002 Silverstone S2000 with Hard Top and red interior.

Nice combo I like it.
I still wish I had the red seats in my S.

Are you sure you got a 2002 version. It looks like a 2000 or a 2001.

My 2002 has some cosmetic changes.

-vinyl centre console cover (no carpet)
-shiftknob is with leather
-headlights and rearlights have chrome accents
-tweeters in the doors for the sound system
-glass rear window for the softtop

just to name a few

It's a MY00-01.

All the things you mentioned (rear window, tweeters, center console cover, tail lamps are updates for 02-03). The shift knob he has is the dealer installed Ti one available in all years.

Not mentioned: There is also an aluminum dead pedal and a small door handle silver accent on the interior of 02-03.

What is really odd is that JDM S2000s have had chrome not black headlight sorrounds. But, I see it is RHD so could it be from Great Britain? On what side of the road do they drive in Malta?

-edit: How do I know he doesn't have a glass rear window since the car has a hardtop? The dash doesn't have the defroster switch installed on the right. He does have the defroster switch (for the hardtop) in the center console though.

Anyway, have fun with the car!

We drive on the same side as the UK and Japan, i.e. RHD (we drive on the left) so the only cars that are siutable for our country are either the UK spec which we get from the HONDA Dealership or the J- spec which we get as grey imports.

So the J spec are the actual second hand ones from Japan. So the Spec should be the Proper Jap spec (even those that never made it to Europe or USA)

The chrome in the headlights is also from MY02 in Japan I think.
The only thing different I see is European cars have headlight washers and JDM cars don't.

So I think its a MY01 JDM car.
