fine ill start k ...this is when we first got the s2000 bone stock. It is around 11pm we just finished eating we come out and theres this prelude who just left the parking lot we her the blow of valve pushhhhh!!!! loud motherfather so iam like get in lets go so we are in persude it does an illagle left ter so we go start to tailgate through busy intersections. Then out of now where its not busy anymore so we get a chance to go side buy side he had his girl friend there with him so he didnt want to race but we raved so much his like fine lets do it (very nice guy ) so were doin like 60km his like turn up ur V-tec iam like gladly so were up to 6000 bearly pushin vtec his like lets do it so we down shirft to second to get out vtec up then boom 3 neck and neck 4 were pullin we hit vtec in 4th he was at least 2 cars behind !!!!! so the off course were going really fast mind u buys intersections we wanted to slow down but then we herd shwhwwss he had nos he came really close to us he then pulled ahead but then we shifted to 5 we were gettin close to him then a turn comes we all know how god dame good these s2000 are at turn so he had to slow down but oh hell no we were still in 5th so now were on highway just givin her NO COPS NO CARS NO NOTHING so were in low revs of 5th so we puch her then we hit like 170 then 180 185 shift gears he was well behind us i love how we have 6 gears so he couldnt keep up anymore so we slow down we talk side by side doin 120 lol but this guy was crazy we pull a head thinkin were ganna go home now. SO ill draw u a pic in ur head its 2 was either u go do the long turn or u keep on goin strait well the turn is coming up that were not goinon liek 30 yards away doin 125km then he gives her his like 140 we thought he was ganna crash beacuse he was ganna turn but he wanted to go strait with us he is liek inches away from us and the barier/ death but he maid it this was the first time me race wit the s2000 and we won against an experanced prelude drive wit turbo or supercharger oh yea nos.....


K now i started so u guys have to give me a stories and were do u guys mostly live

I read u r story and ur other post. Anyway, the forum is kind of dead cause S2000 its no longer new and fresh to ppl. Today there are so many other cars ppl think they are great, if u go to those 350z forum, thos forum are like posting and replying like crazy. Oh and u r story is very interesting, but is it real? Cause i think a prelude with turbo or supercharger its probably going to accelerate faster. well at least i've seen some amazing fast prelude. Most likely their top speed may not be faster than s2000 cause they got only 5 hear but i dunno ... i think a turbo or supercharged prelude should be faster in acclerating.

Oh and here is my story, one day i was driving around 2AM and this is when i just got the car for 3-4 month, its was raining hard, during a turn i went through as usual, but i skidded, since i wasn't expecting that i was shocked it was a right turn and now I am facing all the cars and houses on the right but i responded quickly. I turn my steering wheel left and then let the gas go, the car was back on to the track again everything was done in like 1-2 sec. I was so shocked how easily this car can go into a spin, and how it is so easy it can be controlled from that kind of mistake. But maybe I am just lucky since i am not a expert driver. Anyway, my point is to say that this car does skid easily in rain and ppl should watch for it. it is very dangerious and maybe i am just lucky to get away from that. So, to repond to the guy above even though s2k is amaing on the control and cornering etc, but ppl should still drive carefully.

I know ppl probably want to hear racing story but anyway, drive safe.

Yea most of its true but we were neck and neck the hole only time when the turn cam we were ahead but yea he probebly had like 210 220horse if lucky but yea it was fun but he didnt have any nos lol i just wanted to spice things up lol

Amazing how much posting goes on on supra and RX7 forums when those cars are not exactly 'fresh and cool'

I wasn't going to bother, but the silliness is just unbearable... you guys do realize that 6th gear ratio in the S is not any taller than 5th on most 5 speed gearboxes, don't you? Not to mention the fact that this car is drag limited in top speed so you could put a 20 speed tranny on there and it still wouln't improve the top speed.

So statements like:

are complete BS. Having the 6 gears allows you to select one with an appropriate ratio to stay in the power band, it does not give you 20% more top speed.

the final ratio on the S is just like other cars. but the top speed for the S is for sure faster than prelude .. i don think prelude with stock gear box can do 280 .... but u r correct on ur point about the gear box!

this is b/c rx7 and supra are more amazing cars! its been more than 10 years but these 2 cars still looks so stylish and consider what those car can do and s2k can not .. this is why they are still so hot out there!
