Need some advices on lowering the car.
Hi, I am planing to lower the car, but i am also getting the mugen front lip, will that make the car too low? My question is does ppl scratch the bottom of their car all the time after body kit is installed and the car is lowered? I also need some advice on what method and brand should i choose to lower the car. Will replacing the spring work well? How long does it last etc. Will coilover be a better choice?
thx |

Well, as you don't get any replies i'll try inform you. I had a lowered CRX but that's an other mather. But first, The honda s2000 is allready a low car and with a front lip you really have to be carefull. First of all go check on highest possible bumps you come a cross and drive to it, park and measure how many is left between the front lip and the bump. if it's about 3 cm you could lower the car at a maximum of 2 cm. Still you have to be very carefull driving over it not to damage the lip. Also if you lower the car the springs have to be much harder so the car doesn't go jumping all the way. You cetainly will damage the black plastic lips underneath the car on the front tyres. But maybe these aren't that important staying alive.
Anyway, be prepared to lose your comfort. Myself i would love to have sportsprings of H&R, it lowers the cars marginally without having to spend a fortune on shokasorbers and workinghours. You can find products on http://marketplace.s2ki.com Hope this helps a bit. |

An allignement is recommended.
With the new sportsprings installed the car should be a little stiffer and cornering can go a little bit quiker because of it. I don't know wich yearmodel you have but S2000's starting model 2004 have softer shocksasorbers at the rear and a smaller anti-roll bar. This may be worth replacing for harder ones. Maybe it's possible if you have 2004 or 2005 model to change them with shocks/anti-roll bar from earlier models. Ultimately these changes will result in sharper cornering but at the limit oversteer won't be reduced. But i like it that way. As long as i'm carefull enough and don't crash my car that is. |

u know what, the car's low enough, plus it already looks nice as it is. Lowering it will only make your driving myserable.

hi my friends
The people who got experience about S2k says that "TEIN" is the best choice for coil overs second choice is neuspeed cuz it is cheaper I hope in 10 days a will install neuspeed coil over so I can tell you my opinnion about lowering the s2k I guess neuspeed lowers the car about 3.5 cm I know it is not much for a coil over but the shop asistant told me thats how it works for S2K it is very exciting for me cuz I will be the first person who got coil over on his S2K all TURKEY |
