Tire + rim questions
Hi, after seeing many ppl change their rims and tires i was wondering what u guy ususlly buy ? i mean do ppl usually buy bigger ones which the overl size is bigger than original or ppl simply just use a bigger rim but lower profile tires? and if the overall size changed what do ppl do to fix their speedo meter?

You should always buy the same size diameter when possible. When "up-sizing" the overall aspect ratio may change slightly and you will feel it in the gearing due to the larger size and added weight.
If you stay with OEM specs then you will have no problems with the speedo. If you upsize to 18's it will be a little off 4-8 miles per hour depending on the tires you get. If you upsize to 19's it will also be off. Most people upsize to 17's or 18's and a few go up to 19's. |
