[b]Hello, I'm selling my Audi a4 and want an s2000, some ?'s

Hello. I am very interested in buying an s2000. I will have about 17thousand to spend so hopefully I can find a decnet one at that price. Are there any recalls out there on the car? Or when i'm looking at one are there anything's I must check out before making a desicion? Also are there any major diffrences from year to year with the s2000's, because I'm used to my a4 where every model year seems to have a long list of diffrent features. Also, are there alot of mods available, my freind with a rsx-s says you can have some type of vtec controller, is this true? Any imput will be greatly appreciated, thanks and I hope i can enjoy an s2000 soon!

17G will get you a shitty S2000, unless it salvage. Try harder like 21 or 22 thousand dollars. In my opinion get 2002 and up at least, because of more feature that you will appreciate, there are some mod, but most are minor and you'll hardly notice big different beside the sound that the product make. There is a supercharger, but i'll run you like 5G.

I just got a 2001 s2k with 28000 miles. I payed 20,750 which is less than Kelly Blue Book. I dont think 17G's is gonna do it. You can get a miata for that though. If you spring for the extra 3-4 thousand bucks though, you will really be glad you did.

Don't hesitate in buying the S2000. I have had my for nine months and its brilliant. I also drive an A4 1.9TDi for business which is a great car. But if you want a class looking car which really shifts, then get yourself an S2000. The electric roof works as smooth as a dream and is as they say the fastest on the market. Mine is a 2000 model which I think has more style than the newest models.

i agree, don't scrimp on this car. if you find one for 17g plan on it being ran hard and put away wet. this would not be the s2000 you would want to start off with. plus underlying damage. just be patient, save a little up and one will come along. Glad your making the switch though. The A4's nice, but not much fun....
